On Sunday night, Justice K Vinod Chandran, judge of High Court of Kerala, set a remarkable example by helping a road accident victim during the golden hour.

A 60-year-old woman was hit by a lorry while crossing the road near Punnapra in Alappuzha district around 8 pm. Meanwhile, Justice Vinod Chandran was passing in his official vehicle along with his family.

On spotting the victim, he stopped the vehicle and gave instructions to his driver to take her to Medical College Hospital Alappuzha.  Till the return of the car from the hospital after admitting the victim, he and his family waited by the roadside.

The timely intervention made by the judge has received wide attention and might help change the general mindset of apathy towards road accident victims.
