Justice Tahilramani, who was the Acting Chief Justice of Bombay High Court, was appointed as the Chief Justice of Madras High Court on August 3, following the elevation of Justice Indira Banerjee to the Supreme Court. She will be taking charge from Justice H G Ramesh, who was appointed as Acting Justice of Madras High Court on August 6.
Justice Tahilramani joined the Bar in 1982, and has served as a Government Pleader and Public Prosecutor for the State of Maharashtra. She was elevated to the Bench in June, 2001, and was appointed as the Acting Chief Justice of Bombay High Court in December 2017.
