West Bengal Electricity Regulatory Commission invites applications for the appointment of the Ombudsman.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:
- The candidate must be a person of ability, integrity and standing with a graduate degree in any discipline including law, with a minimum experience of 25 years of service in the judicial department holding the post, not below the rank of District Judge (entry-level).
Desirable Qualifications:
- Discharging judicial functions or quasi-judicial functions in the Government departments/Public administration OR
- Exposure in the power sector OR
- Experience of holding hearings of public grievances against specific complaints filed under different provisions of law and passing reasoned orders.

- Candidates in possession of the above-mentioned qualifications may submit applications in plain paper through ordinary postal service/courier/by hand/messenger addressed to the Secretary of the Commission and must enclose (a) Bio-data with contact phone number and email ID: (b) self-attested testimonials of educational qualification and age, (c) a detailed note on experience with posts held and functions discharged in respect of each such post with duration thereof.
