Two long years after the first of its kind child witness court room (CWCR) was inaugurated at the Karkardooma Court Complex in Delhi, the second was inaugurated at the Saket court complex on Wednesday.

The courtroom is designed in a manner that it will help the child witness depose freely. It has often been observed that children are important witnesses in many cases, including some serious offences under the Penal Code. The courtroom has been designed to keep the environment and atmosphere encouraging for child witnesses, as compared to the usual stressed atmosphere of the court.

The inauguration was done by Supreme Court judge, Hon’ble Justice Ranjana Prakash Desai. Chief Justice of the Delhi High Court Justice G Rohini and Justice Gita Mittal were also amongst the judges present.
