NCLAT Chennai Declares Holiday On 5th December 2023 Due To Cyclonic Storm 'Michaung'

The National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (“NCLAT”), Chennai Bench, has issued a circular dated 04.12.2023, intimating that NCLAT Chennai Bench would not be functional on 05.12.2023.

Chennai is experiencing incessant rainfalls due to cyclonic storm “MICHAUNG”. Further, the Tamil Nadu Government has also issued a Government Order dated 04.12.2023 bearing G.O.Ms.752, whereby 05.12.2023 (Tuesday) has been declared as a public holiday.

In view of the same, the NCLAT has intimated that there will be no functioning of the courts in the NCLAT Chennai Bench on 05.12.2023. The matters listed on 05.12.2023 before the NCLAT Chennai Bench have been adjourned and next date will be notified later.

Due to torrential rains, NCLAT Chennai could not function on 04.12.2023 as well.
