HNLU Raipur shuts academic activities for 10 days as several students contract chicken pox; Registrar assures situation under control
Hidayatullah National Law University, Raipur has declared a 10-day holiday after being hit by chicken pox virus. 23 students have reportedly been affected by the virus.
HNLU Registrar, Dr. Dipak Das confirmed the news that academic activities have been put to a halt for 10 days and that hostels have been vacated adding that all precautionary measures are being taken and everything is under control now.
Students who reside in hostel have also been asked to vacate and go back homes till August 31. Local students and those residing nearby have returned homes while but for hostel students it is difficult to get reservation on such short notice, hence about 40 of them have decided to stay back. There are about 850 students including girls in hostel.
The University plans to sanitize the campus as a measure to prevent any further occurrences. On returning, students will be facilitated with homeopathic treatment as precautionary measure. Once the college re-opens, students might have to go through additional hours of studies to compensate for the sudden lock down.
