CJ Ravi Shankar Jha was appointed as Chief Justice of Punjab & Haryana High Court in 2019. He is a senior puisne Judge from Madhya Pradesh High Court. Before his appointment, CJ Jha was Acting Chief Justice of the High Court of Madhya Pradesh.
Earlier he was also an Additional Judge of the High Court of Madhya Pradesh and appointed as a Permanent Judge in 2007.
Justice Ritu Bahri born on 1962 at Jalandhar, is from a family of a third generation lawyer. She has completed her Law from Punjab University, Chandigarh, in 1985 and enrolled as an Advocate in 1986 with Bar Council of Punjab & Haryana, thereafter she started practicing.
Justice Bahri was appointed as Assistant Advocate General, Haryana, in 1992. Thereafter, she was appointed as Deputy Advocate General, Haryana, in August 1999 and Senior Deputy Advocate General, Haryana, in December 2009. While reprsenting the State of Haryana, she handled several cases relating to Service matters, land Acquisition, Taxation, Revenue, Labour cases and MACT cases. She was elevated as Judge of the Punjab & Haryana High Court on August 16, 2010.
