The Central Government has notified the transfer of Justice Dinesh Kumar Singh from Allahabad High Court to Kerala High Court, following the Supreme Court Collegium's recommendation in this regard.
On July 12, 2023, the Supreme Court Collegium had recommended Justice D.K. Singh's transfer to Kerala High Court, and thereby rejected his request to be transferred to other States such as Delhi, Punjab & Haryana, Madhya Pradesh or Rajasthan.
The Collegium in its resolution stated that it did not find any merit in the request made by him and thus reiterated its recommendation dated July 5, 2023 to transfer him to the High Court of Kerala.
Justice Singh had practised in Allahabad High Court till 1997, and thereafter in Supreme Court from 1998 till the date of his appointment as a Judge, in Constitutional law, Administrative Law, Commercial Laws, Civil Laws, Taxation, Arbitration and Criminal Laws.
He was appointed as an Additional Judge on Sep 22, 2017, and took Oath as a permanent Judge on Sep 06, 2019.
