Advocate BA Aloor has approached the Kerala High Court seeking anticipatory bail in a complaint filed against him by a client alleging criminal intimidation and sexual harassment.

FIR has been lodged for offences under Sections 406 (criminal breach of trust), 420 (cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property), 294 (b) (obscene acts and songs), 506 (ii) (criminal intimidation) and 354A (sexual harassment and punishment for sexual harassment) of IPC at the Ernakulam Central Police Station.

On February 9, the Court had passed an interim order directing the Police not to arrest Aloor without issuance of notice of appearance under Section 41A CrPC.

Today, Justice Sophy Thomas adjourned the hearing to February 22 as the Public Prosecutor sought time to obtain instructions.

The allegation is that Aloor declined to return money obtained as legal fees from the client and humiliated, intimidated and abused her. Aloor on the other hand claims that the complainant along with some of his expelled juniors had falsely fabricated this complaint against him.

Earlier, another client had filed a complaint against Aloor alleging sexual harassment and since the alleged offence was bailable, the Court had closed the pre-arrest bail plea.

The plea has been moved by Advocates C.P.Udayabhanu, Navaneeth.N.Nath, Rassal Janardhanan A., Abhishek M. Kunnathu, Boban Palat, P.U.Pratheesh Kumar, P.R.Ajay, K.U.Swapnil
