The Gujarat High Court, following up of its earlier Circular No. ITC/234/2024 dated 20/02/2024, has now issued new directions to ensure that advocates do not face difficulties in accessing Video Conferencing (VC) Rooms for hearings.

The Chief Justice has mandated that all Court Masters assisting the Benches must promptly admit advocates to the VC Session, provided their Display Name in the Zoom VC Waiting Room includes the Item Serial Number from the causelist. This step is intended to ensure smooth participation of advocates in their respective matters.

Advocates are instructed to follow the previous guidelines, ensuring their Display Name in Zoom VC starts with the Serial Number of the matter, followed by their exact name. If an advocate is appearing in multiple matters, the Serial Numbers of all such matters must be prefixed in the Display Name.

Furthermore, Court Masters are directed to admit advocates to the VC Session without requiring them to mention the matter before the Bench for admission. Instructions on setting the proper Display Name will be displayed in the Zoom Waiting Room and included in the published causelist.

These measures aim to streamline the virtual court proceedings and minimize any inconvenience faced by advocates.
