Supreme Court Collegium Recommends Repatriation Of Delhi HC Judge Justice Chandra Dhari Singh To Allahabad High Court

The Supreme Court Collegium has recommended repatriation of Delhi High Court judge, Justice Chandra Dhari Singh, to Allahabad High Court, his parent High Court.

The recommendation has been made in the Collegium meeting which happened on November 28 and 29.

“The Supreme Court Collegium in its meetings held on 28th and 29th November 2024 has recommended repatriation of Mr. Justice Chandra Dhari Singh, Judge, High Court of Delhi, to his parent High Court i.e. the High Court of Judicature at Allahabad,” the resolution reads.

Justice Chandra Dhari Singh graduated from Delhi University in 1993. He enrolled as an advocate the next year.

He practiced in the Supreme Court of India as an Advocate-on Record and dealt in Original Side, Civil and Criminal matters in the Delhi High Court, other High Courts, Trial Courts and before Tribunals and Commissions.

Justice Singh was appointed as Additional Advocate General for the State of Chhattisgarh, Standing Counsel for the State of Madhya Pradesh, Standing Counsel for the State of Uttar Pradesh, Standing Counsel for the State of Jharkhand, Senior Panel Counsel for Union of India, Counsel for the University of Lucknow and Counsel for Steel Authority of India Ltd.

Justice Singh was appointed as Additional Judge on September 22, 2017 and took oath as Permanent Judge of the Allahabad High Court on September 06, 2019.

He was transferred to Delhi High Court on October 11, 2021.
