Music Producer Amandeep Singh Batra Files Protection Plea In Delhi High Court After 'Threat Calls' From Lawrence Bishnoi, Goldy Brar

Music producer Amandeep Singh Batra has filed a protection petition before the Delhi High Court after receiving threats and extortion calls from persons claiming to be from the gangs of gangsters Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldy Brar.

Batra has alleged that the calls were made to him at the behest of one Prateek Chaudhary, a businessman, who has a personal vendetta against him.

Justice Jasmeet Singh today directed the Delhi Police to take appropriate action in the matter within 10 days.

The Court ordered that in the meantime, Batra's safety be ensured and to protect his life and fundamental rights.

Batra was represented by Senior Advocate Abhimanyu Bhandari along with Advocates Arjun Syal, Mehaak Jaggi , Namisha Gupta, Nattasha Garg and Tanaya Aggarwal.

It was Batra's case that despite registration of FIR and transfer of the matter to Delhi Police's Special Cell, no progress was made in the matter and that he was continuously receiving threats.

“Keeping in view the recent rise in killings in the country targeting public figures such as Baba Siddique, Sidhu Moosewala and Nadir Shah, the Petitioner is in need of urgent and adequate police protection,” the petition said.
