The Supreme Court Collegium, comprising CJI Dhananjaya Y Chandrachud, Justice Sanjiv Khanna and Justice B R Gavai has recommended to make 7 Additional Judges of the Bombay High Court as Permanent Judges.

Additionally, two other Additional Judges were recommended for a fresh term of one year with effect from October 07.

The collegium recommended the following Additional Judges to be made as Permanent Judges of Bombay High Court:

(i) Shri Justice Yanshivraj Gopichand Khobragade

(ii) Shri Justice Mahendra Wadhumal Chandwani

(iii) Shri Justice Abhay Sopanrao Waghwase

(iv) Shri Justice Ravindra Madhusudan Joshi

In a separate resolution, the collegium further recommended the following Additional Judges to be made Permanent Judges:

(v) Shri Justice Santosh Govindrao Chapalgaonkar,

(vi) Shri Justice Milind Manohar Sathaye, and

(vii) Dr (Smt) Justice Neela Kedar Gokhale.

The collegium recommended the following names for a fresh one-year term as Additional judges:

(i) Shri Justice Sanjay Anandrao Deshmukh

(ii) Smt. Justice Vrushali Vijay Joshi
