The Supreme Court Collegium spearheaded by the CJI D.Y. Chandrachud, has recommended the names of four Advocates as the Judges of the High Court of Andhra Pradesh. 

In its resolution dated October 10, 2023, the Collegium stated that the Chief Justice of the Andhra Pradesh High Court had recommended the lawyers in consultation with his two senior-most colleagues, and that the Chief Minister and the Governor of the State of Andhra Pradesh had also concurred with the recommendation. 

The four Advocates recommended for elevation as Judges of the Andhra Pradesh High Court are as follows: 

  1. Harinath Nunepally;

  2. Kiranmayee Mandava (Kiranmayee Kanaparthy);

  3. Sumathi Jagadam; and 

  4. Nyapathy Vijay.

The resolution further states that the inter se seniority shall be fixed as per the existing practixe.
