The Oudh Bar Association today passed a resolution deciding to boycott the Court of Justice Dinesh Kumar Singh, a judge of the Allahabad High Court (at the Lucknow Bench), with immediate effect.

The decision was taken after an urgent meeting was called today by the Association under the chairmanship of the President of the Oudh Bar Association A.M. Tripathi.

The resolution released after the meeting states that the decision to boycott Justice Singh was being taken on account of his misbehaviour with the lawyers who are appearing before him.

The resolution further states that the Association has received several complaints from members of the Bar stating that they are finding it very difficult to appear before the Court of Justice DK Singh.

In view of this, the bar unanimously resolved to abstain from working in the Court of Justice Singh with immediate effect. The resolution further requests that members of the Bar to abstain from work in the Court of Justice Singh so that the dignity of the members of the Bar be maintained.

The entire resolution of the association reads thus:

"Today an urgent meeting is called under the chairmanship of the President of Oudh Bar Association Sri. A.M. Tripathi and the said meeting has been convened by General Secretary Manoj Kumar Mishra with regard to misbehaviour and to create embarrassing position with the counsels who appear before Hon'ble Justice D.K. Singh. The Bar has received complaints from a respected member of the Bar, the member of the Bar have apprise that before Hon'ble Justice D.K. Singh to conduct the cases have now become very difficult because before his Lordship in the aforesaid circumstances. The bar has unanimiously resolved to to abstain from working in the Court of Hon'ble Justice D.K. Singh with immediate effect from 2:15 p.m. on 19. 04-2023 onwards on the member of the Bar are requested to abstain the work from the Court of Hon'ble Justice D.K. Singh so that the dignity of the members of the Bar should be maintained."
