Justice Manoj Kumar Gupta Appointed As Acting Chief Justice Of Allahabad High Court

The Central Government on Monday notified the appointment of Justice Manoj Kumar Gupta as the Acting Chief Justice of the Allahabad High Court.

The said appointment has been made with effect from November 22, 2023, consequent upon the retirement of Justice Pritinker Diwaker, Chief Justice, Allahabad High Court on November 21, 2023.

A notification issued in this regard by the Union Ministry of Law and Justice reads thus:

"In exercise of the power conferred by Article 223 of the Constitution of India, the President is pleased to appoint, Shri Justice Manoj Kumar Gupta, Judge of the Allahabad High Court, to perform the duties of the office of the Chief Justice of that High Court with effect from 22.11.2023 consequent upon the retirement of Shri Justice Pritinker Diwaker, Chief Justice, Allahabad High Court on 21.11.2023."
