Centre Notifies Appointments Of Two Judicial Officers As Judges Of Patna High Court

The President of India has appointed Judicial Officers Rudra Prakash Mishra and Ramesh Chand Malviya as Judges of the Patna High Court. 

In October 2023, the Supreme Court Collegium comprising Chief Justice of India Dhananjaya Y Chandrachud, Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul and Justice Sanjiv Khanna, had recommended their names for appointment as Judges of the Patna High Court.

In its resolution dated October 17, 2023, the Collegium stated that the Chief Justice of the Patna High Court in consultation with his two senior-most colleagues recommended the elevation of the two judicial officers as Judges of the High Court of Judicature at Patna, and that the Chief Minister and the Governor of the State of Bihar have also concurred with the recommendation.
