Hidayatullah National Law University: 20% jump in placements from the last year
The Recruitment Co-ordination Committee of Hidayatullah National Law University, shares the placement figures for the Graduating Batch of 2016.
These placements happened over the sessions 2015 – 16 and were conducted On Campus, through Video-Conferencing and through the PPO mode.
The RCC this year was formed under the aegis of the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Sukhpal Singh and the Registrar Dr. Deepak Kr. Srivastava.
The faculty Co-ordinator’s of the RCC were Dr. Y. Papparao, Ms. Balwinder Kaur Sandhu and Mr. Shyamtanu Paul.
The Student Co-ordinators of the RCC were Subhro Sengupta, Pratibhanu Singh Kharola, Tushar Joshi and Ishita Mathur.
Their strategy this year has been to rapidly increase the number of recruiters and we have tried to include a healthy mix of Law firms, Companies etc.
The strategy has paid off, with 80 offers being generated for the 104 students who sat for Placements. Awaiting results of CLAT and one late placement that they are co-ordinating with a Jaipur based law firm which will take the number even higher.
This year also saw in the number of students who went for Fellowships and higher education with one student being placed for the Lamp Fellowship and one student joining Teach for India.
LLM offers came from IELPO Barcelona, University of Vienna, Institute of Law, Goethe University, Frankfurt, Hult University, Boston, WTI Bern, Queen Mary University, London, Kings College, London and Macquaire University, Sydney.
HNLU is doing better with every passing batch and this is proved by a 20% jump in placements from the last year, with the number of recruiters doubling, diversified with Companies such as Flipkart and a focus on smaller niche practices.
