Gujarat High Court Registry on Tuesday reportedly ordered compulsory retirement of eighteen Additional District Judges from across the State, after a performance review found them lacking.

The committee of High Court Judges which conducted the review, directed retirement of Judges from Gandhinagar, Amreli, Rajkot, Vadodara, Ahmedabad (city and rural), Mehsana, Nadiad, Bharuch, Surat and Vyara.

The review was conducted within a period of 10-12 months, during which the records of Judicial Officers in the cadre of Additional District Judges were considered.
