Senior Advocate and former Advocate General of Kerala MK Damodaran passed away on Wednesday at a private hospital at Cochin.

He was the Advocate General of Kerala during the tenure of EK Nayanar’s LDF Ministry.

He was appointed as the legal advisor of Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan in July, but he refused to take charge as a writ petition was filed in Kerala High Court challenging his appointment.

He had argued many popular cases in Kerala High Court. He was the lawyer for Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan in Lavlin Case. The Special CBI Court had discharged Vijayan in the case. Kerala High Court has reserved its judgment in revision petitions filed by CBI challenging the discharge.
