The Bombay Bar Association is organising the Inaugural Nariman Memorial lecture.

Fali S. Nariman was an eminent jurist and senior advocate of the Supreme Court of India who passed away on February 21, 2024, at the age of 95. He served as a Senior Advocate in the Supreme Court of India and was a member of the Rajya Sabha (1999–2005). Known for his deep knowledge of constitutional law, he argued landmark cases like the Kesavananda Bharati case. Nariman was awarded the Padma Bhushan (1991) and the Padma Vibhushan (2007) for his contributions to the legal field. He was also an author, with his autobiography, Before Memory Fades, offering insights into his illustrious career.

The lecture will be delivered by Justice B. R.Gavai, Judge, Supreme Court of India on the topic, 'Fali Nariman's Role In Shaping Constitutional Jurisprudence'
