DETAILS ABOUT THE EVENT

The three-day conference on "Constitution in a Changing India" hosted by Government Law College Ernakulam, promises to be an intellectual feast, featuring a diverse array of distinguished panellists, scholars, and legal experts from across the country. This conference is poised to be a landmark event, showcasing a comprehensive exploration of the evolving contours of the Indian Constitution and contributing significantly to the ongoing conversation about constitutional law and transformative changes impacting the Indian Constitution.

The highlight of Day 1 will be a Commemorative Law Lecture by Senior Advocate of the Supreme Court, Indira Jaising, the first female Additional Solicitor General of India and a renowned human rights activist. On May 30th, the inaugural session will be officiated by P Rajeev, Kerala's Minister for Industries, Law, and Coir and the chief guest for the event will be former Supreme Court Judge, Justice KM Joseph. The third day will feature a panel discussion on the pressing issue of free and fair elections. Esteemed panelists include Prof. Dr. G Mohan Gopal, Justice Babu Mathew P Joseph and Prof. Dr. KC Sunny. The discussion will be moderated by Manu Sebastian, Managing Director of Live Law.

In addition to these sessions, each paper presentation will be preceded by plenary sessions on varied topics such as environmental justice, federalism, and technology and law, led by Adv.
