"न्यायो रक्षति रक्षितः" (Nyāyo Rakṣati Rakṣitaḥ) - "Justice protects those who protect it."

The G.L. Sanghi Memorial Lecture, initiated by LAWASIA in 2006, celebrates the legacy of the late Shri G.L. Sanghi, Senior Advocate at the Supreme Court of India.  Sanghi joined LAWASIA in 1985, was elected as its Vice-President in 1997, and served as President from 2003. He was instrumental in establishing the LAWASIA Indian Chapter. His commitment to human rights and his profound contributions to the legal profession, both in court and through his support for professional organizations, have left a lasting impact. The lecture series, organized annually by the members of the Sanghi family and various institutions, including Maharashtra National Law University, Nagpur, honors his memory and dedication.
This year, the Sanghi Foundation, in collaboration with E-Mediation Writings and the Heart Care Foundation of India (HCFI), is organizing the G.L. Sanghi Memorial Lecture on the theme "No Longer an Alternative – Prioritizing Mediation for Dispute Resolution." The keynote will be delivered by Hon'ble Mr. Justice Arjan Sikri, former Judge of the Supreme Court of India. Following the lecture, a panel discussion on "Mediation as a Profession by 2030" will feature distinguished speakers such as Justice Arjan Sikri,Former Judge, Supreme Court; Justice Manmohan, Judge of the Supreme Court of India, and Mr. Mukul Rohtagi, Senior Advocate. This panel will be moderated by Ms. Anupam Sanghi. The event will also introduce the 1st International Perennial Mediation Quotes Calendar – 365 Days of Pearls of Wisdom, an innovative initiative by E-Mediation Writings.
In addition, the Heart Care Foundation of India, founded by Shri G.L. Sanghi's son-in-law, the late Dr. KK Aggarwal, and daughter Dr. Veena Aggarwal, will organize a Hands Only CPR 10 session at the event. This vital program initiated in the memory of Mr. GL Sanghi trains individuals in essential CPR techniques for revival after sudden cardiac arrest, having trained over 400,000 people to date.
