The book titled The Handbook on Domestic Arbitration in India authored by Aman Vijay Dutta (Advocate) and published by Hind Law House, will be launched on 3 August 2024 at Pune in the presence of Dr. Justice Shalini Phansalkar Joshi (Arbitrator and Former Judge, Bombay High Court), Mr. Ameet P. Hariani (Arbitrator & Senior Solicitor, and Founding Partner, M/s Hariani & Co.), Mr. Nikhil Sakhardande (Senior Advocate, Bombay High Court), Mr. Ganesh Chandru (Partner, Dua Associates and Former Counsel & Asst. Registrar, Singapore International Arbitration Centre), and Mr. Sunil G. Vedpathak (District and Additional Sessions Judge, Pune).

The book is a one of its kind comprehensive guide on Domestic Arbitration in India and does this by mirroring the stages in a domestic arbitration with a chapter wise detailed commentary focused on decisions rendered by the Supreme Court of India. Its purpose is to provide lawyers, academicians and other professionals with a detailed issue wise check list on substantive and procedural issues, to help in streamlining the conduct of Domestic Arbitration proceedings.

The foreword of the book has been authored by Justice P.S. Narasimha (Judge, Supreme Court of India) who described the book as “an indispensable guide for legal practitioners,” highlighting the author's dedication to simplifying the arbitration process. Mr. Ameet Hariani, in his additional foreword noted, “Aman has effectively addressed the practical issues faced by practitioners in domestic arbitration,” making the book a valuable resource. Dr. Justice Shalini Phansalkar Joshi has praised the book for its insightful analysis of the arbitration movement in India, emphasizing its relevance to both current and future legal landscapes. Mr. Nikhil Sakhardande commented on the book's thorough exploration of Part I of the Arbitration & Conciliation Act, 1996, and its benefits for judges, lawyers, and students. Mr. Ganesh Chandru highlighted the book's timely focus on domestic arbitration, calling it “the need of the hour.” And Mr. Tariq Khan, in his review, recommended the book for its clear explanation of complex legal concepts and practical insights.

The launch ceremony shall take place on 3rd August 2024 at ILS Law College, Pune between 5.00 P.M. and 7 P.M.
