The Central Government on Monday appointed four new judges to Delhi High Court, increasing the working strength of the court to 42 as against the sanctioned strength of 60 judges.

Those appointed are: Advocates Jyoti Singh, Prateek Jalan, Anup Jairam Bhambhari and Sanjeev Narula.

The Supreme Court collegium had, last month, recommended the elevation of these Advocates as judges of the high court. The proposal had also contained the name of Mr. Manoj Kumar Ohri. However, his name does not feature in the notification.
