All India Bar Examination conducted by Bar Council of India with an objective to evaluate an Advocate’s capability to practice the profession of law is rescheduled and now to be held on 19 January 2014.Earlier the examination was scheduled for 22 December 2013.
The BCI has issued a notification today i.e. on 11 November revising the schedule. The last date for online registration is extended till 8th December which was 25th November earlier.
The AIBE was first introduced during the tenure of then BCI’s chairman Gopal Subramanium. The examination has its share of criticism for lack of transparency in award of contract to third parties to conduct the examination . Many a times, the examination had to be canceled for various reasons.
