The actor was finally granted bail with conditions by the high court on 03/10/2017.
In the application filed seeking modification of his bail conditions, the actor has now sought for release of his passport from Judicial First Class Magistrate Court, Angamaly. The actor has sought release of his passport to enable him to travel to Dubai, to take part in the inauguration of his concern ‘De puttu’ on 28/11/2017. In the petition that has been filed in the context it has been averred as follows: “The opening of restaurant ‘De puttu’ in Dubai has been tentatively fixed for 28/11/2017. It is essential for the petitioner to be present at the time of inauguration, especially for the business promotion of his hotel. Petitioner wishes to be in Dubai in connection with the opening of the restaurant ‘De Puttu’ for a period of four days to one week. Petitioner therefore requires his passport for his travel out of India. It is therefore necessary to direct the Judicial First Class Magistrate’s Court, Angamaly, to release the passport of the petitioner to him”.
